Position: Professional Nurse Grade 1,2,3 (X12 Positions)

Salary:
Grade 1: R293 670 – R337 860 per annum, (plus service benefits)
Grade 2: R358 626 – R409 275 per annum, (plus service benefits)
Grade 3: R431 265 – R5214 172 per annum, (plus service benefits)
Location: Chris Hani Baragwanath Academic Hospital
Requirements:
* Basic R425 qualification (i.e. diploma or degree in nursing) or equivalent qualification that allows registration with the South African Nursing Council (SANC) as a Professional Nurse.
* Current registration with the South African Nursing Council.
* No experience required after registration with the SANC as Professional Nurse.
For Grade 1: 0-2 years’ experience.
For Grade 2: 10-19 years’ experience.
Grade 3: 20-and above years of experiences
Competencies/Knowledge/Skills:
* Demonstrate an understanding of nursing legislation and related legal and ethical nursing practices.
* Perform a clinical nursing practice in accordance with the scope of practice and nursing standards as determined by the relevant health facility.
* Promote quality of nursing care as directed by the professional scope of practice and standards as determined by the relevant health facility.
Duties:
* Provide optimal, holistic, specialized nursing care with set standards and within a professional/legal framework.
* Effective utilization of resources.
* Participate in training and research.
* Provide support to nursing services.
* Maintain professional growth/ethical standards and self-development.
* Act as shift leader in the unit (where necessary).
* Demonstrate effective communication with patients, supervisors and other health professionals and junior colleagues.
* Implementation of Ideal Hospital Framework.
